Week #23

April 29th, 2013

We got to email late because our freaking bus broke down!!!  So everything here is good! Other than none of our freaking investigators came to church!! Freaking punks!!! We visited them and they still are like excited to listen to us and stuff; it’s just that they were taking care of kids which is the excuse that they all use!!! hahaha bull crap! I speak like perfect Spanish now!! I’m such a pro!! I am almost Mexican!! It’s funny because it is starting to get colder here and everyone is super cold! They all have jackets here and sleep with like 4 blankets but it is like 70 degrees! They are all amazed that I don’t use a sweater! The truth is that I sweat because it is still warm for me! The weather like never changes!! All is good with my companion! Him and I get along well but he is sensitive about everything! I can’t tease him or he gets super offended!! He is going home is 4 months so he is pretty truncky! Which just means he thinks a lot about his house and is kind of lazy because of it! I’m kicking his butt and making him work.

Week #22

Week 22: April

Time is flying by and I am working like crazy! So as far as our work goes it’s good! We had a really cool family come to church and he wants to get baptized the 4th so I am pretty pumped to get to dunk him!! Gisel postponed her baptism again until the 4th to so it will be a cool day with a bunch of baptisms!!! Anyways I have been working like crazy! I teach the Sunday school class every week and I have gotten to be a pretty good teacher! I use a lot of scriptures and I speak pretty much fluently now! So that has bee a blessing!!! This was a really good week!

Week #21

Week #21: April 12th, 2013

This week we had interviews with the mission president and he told me that he has gotten amazing reviews about me as a missionary from my zone leaders so that was pretty cool! We watched another guy get robbed in front of our house, which was pretty crazy! They always do it with a gun and three guys and the police don’t do anything! It’s nuts here in Peru because the police are super corrupt! It’s kind of scary to think about, but there is like zero protection here!! So we have like three new families we are teaching and they are super cool. I really feel like they can progress and I still have faith we can baptize them!! I just hope I don’t get switched this next change because if I do I won’t get to baptize these families!  But I know it will all happen how it is supposed to!! I got to watch Conference with all of the gringos in English, so I was able to understand all of it! Here is a picture of us.  There aren't that many gringos here.

Week #20

Week #20 April 8th!

My zone is Comas and my area is Retablo in Lima!! Hahahaha

Well, this week was pretty good!! We have been working like crazy this week!!!! I have been studying like a mad man too because I feel bad when my comp teaches more then me so I have been practicing like crazy!! I always practice with my camera so that I can watch myself, which is like freaking torture for me because I hate my voice!! I don’t understand at all why anyone can stand to listen to me!! hahah we had pretty good luck!! For example we had conference yesterday.  After we went to work and found two new families from knocking doors! One of them has real potential to progress!! It was good to find two in one day!! But yeah conference was freaking amazing!! I got to watch it in English with the other gringos! Oh and I finished 5 months yesterday!!! Dang I am really doing it!!! hahahaha so we pretty much have zero baptisms planed right now!!! It freaking sucks but our investigators isn’t really progressing!!! I just wanted to punch the labajos family when we went to there house to try and bring them to the church and they said they where to busy doing house work!!!! hahahahaha I mean I don’t expect them to just change it all over night but I do want them to show interest!! I know numbers don’t matter, I just hate when the zone leaders burn me when our numbers are low like I’m not working but I work harder than anyone in our zone and I just cant baptize anyone!! hahaha but that’s alright I know for a fact I am doing the right thing!! Week #19!

Week # 19: April 1st (:

I am soooo sick of the city!! Well, I don’t have very much time to write!! So I will tell you about my week!!!! Well, my new companion is Elder Aguirre, from Nicaragua!! He is pretty cool, but I miss Elder Delgado a little!! It’s all good I am sure I will learn a lot from my new one!!!! Oh yeah and my baptisms never happened!! I was sooooo freaking bummed!!! We were waiting for her with the font all filled up and people there to welcome her and she had told us like an hour before that she was going to come. So yeah we waited like 30 minutes and called her and she never got there and then like a hour passed and we called again and some other lady answered saying that Gisel left somewhere but she didn’t know where. She also said that Gisel forgot her cell phone so we just told everyone to go home!! hahahahaha I just wanted to cry!! No joke I wanted to freaking complain for like an hour and just cry like a girl but I manned up and kept it in!! haha My first baptism and it was a flop!! hahahah oh well I will keep working!! hahaha it is all good!! But really we have got nothing right now for baptisms!! hhahahahaha I just really hope we can baptize the labajos family!! hahahaha other then that I don’t have flees in my bed anymore so that is nice!!! I was pretty freaking sick in the beginning of the week!! The first day of my new comp here I had not slept at all because I was puking all night!! hahah it was terrible!!!! hahahahahaha but all is good now!!!

Week #18!

March 25, 2013

hey!!!!!

well i am still alive so everything is good!!  other than the fact that i have forgotten a little english!!  hahahaha oh yeah and this week something kind of cool happened!! i got flees!! hahaha i cant help petting peoples dogs emily!! hahaha but yeah my bed is like full!! but i dont have any money!!! hahahaha so i have to wait another week to wash all my stuff!! hahahahaha it is not that bad other then like these little bites they give you!! hahahah you cant see them or feel them you just have little bug bits everywhere!! hahahahaha um finally we are gong to baptize a gal named gisel!! its so freaking cool to see how much she has changed!!! she stopped drinkng and smoking and comes to church every week and is totally ready!! familia labajos are ready too, it's just that they need to see that they are ready and kind of drop there traditions!! and then other then them we have family perez, Vilca, saanchez, lazanos!!!! it is sooo cool to watch people learn!!!! i am tring to send pictures so we will see what happens!! i can only sent one at a time!! so we have changes today and for sure me or my comp will have to leave, because i am finished with my training and we are not allowed to be together anymore!! so i will know in about a hour and you wont know for another week. so yeah that was pretty much my week!!!! i didn't see anyone get robbed this time, but i guess it happened again right in front of our house!! hahahaha

Week #17!

Week # 17: 3/18/13

This week we kind of cool!! we finally are ging to baptize someone the 30th of this month! Her name is gisel hambo!!! So that is good!!! That was really the only thing that was exciting about that!!!! I told you guys i watched a dude get robbed of his taxi right!? .... now that I think of it this week kind of sucked!! no joke! Tuesday my comp had a head ache and he wanted ibuprofen and i had some in my bag so i told him to go ahead and just find it and take 3 but i guess there where two bottles of pills and insted of taking 3 ibuprofen he took 3 sleeping pills that i had from a long time ago that i didnt even know i had. It was in english so he didint know! hahahahaha he was asleep in 30 min and he slept for the whole study time which is 4 hours and then when it was time to go and i woke him up he was like acting drunk!! haha I had to do everything the  whole day!hahaha no joke i literally taught all the lessons and made all the appointments and i had to plan for the next day! I think becuase his family is pretty poor he has never tried taking any kind of pill so it effected him a lot!! hahaha hahaha as far as me i am good!! the time goes really fast some days and really slow other days!! right now it is going really slow becuase we watched this movie about these missionarys and one was about to go home and it just made me think a lot about home! hahahah i know i am lame and i should think about my mission all of the time but i cant help thinking about home sometimes.  I miss everyone especially Grandma and Grandpa Dickey today! Overall it was a good week though!
